Spring to Summer, Summer to Fall...
It's been a productive and busy Spring and Summer for Delta Eta. The summer rush chairman have 24 pledges signed and there are many more still in the rush pool. If you have suggestions for pledge candidates, please send those to info@sigmanuunl.org or call 402.416.6108. Your leads can help us build a stronger Chapter and Brotherhood.
This past Sunday, a couple dozen local alumni and actives teamed up to do some maintenance and clean up at the House. It was hot as (fill in the blank), but the Delta Etas, young and not-so-young, pooled energy, tools and sweat from about 8am until 8pm and made some good progress. It was a good interaction and demonstration of commitment to the facility and grounds. They may not clean the way we used to (we're working on that) but I sense we will see some progress on that front after some alumni-led cleaning and maintenance advice and motivation this year.
2011 DELTA ETA OPEN - ALUMNI GOLF CHALLENGE
It would not be back-to-school at UNL and back-to-Husker Football without the annual Delta Eta Open on the Friday before the Husker's home opener. Kyle Miller, DH 1511 is coordinating the event and looking to break participation records this year! Per tradition, we'll be playing the four man scramble at Tiburon Golf Club (just SW of Omaha) and getting started at noon with a banquet in the clubhouse to follow, and then...who knows this year? Registration is $75 per player. The Open is always a great time to meet and catch up with alumni from across the decades, and an especially good excuse to get some of your closest Brothers together, knock-off early on a Friday afternoon and share some war stories and cold beverages on a sunny day.
